1. Always use protection on the throat - scarf etc. 2. Basrika (nasal breathing exercise). do this fairly lowly, always reducing the length of breaths, never increasing. So that you reach the point of not breathing in or out. (Breath control part is Laya Yoga, nasal breathing is Hata Yoga) 3. Mantras. The left Vishuddhi mantra is the best. It releases both sides. Do not overdo points 2 and 3 - to overdo is not Sahaja Yoga. 4. Raja Yoga - born with energy - to feel one with the whole. To feel the dignity of being part of the ocean of wholeness. Put your Vishuddi finger on your neck and your tongue towards the roof of your mouth. Feel that dignity, and the sweetness of it. 5. Medicinal Part. a) Rub on any oil containing vitamins A and D e.g. cod liver oil or olive oil. Butter is to be taken in, also either of above oils. Heat some milk, add butter or ghee and take it. Also put butter or ghee up the nose. This is very good for the sinus. b) Salt is very good for Vishuddi. Gargle with salt. It may also be put on the tonsils with the finger. Do not neglect a sore throat. Gargle morning and evening. c) Honey is very good, and is to be administered in severe conditions. d) Mix Haldi and black pepper with some ghee and take it. e) Raw licorice is to be chewed. f) Beechams Powders are good, and also vitamin C (Redoxon). g) Use Vick vapour rub.. h) Roast some onions, cut them in half and foment the sinus areas with the peels. Reheat the onion as it cools, keeping on the foment for about 15 minutes. All the above should be carried out religiously for a period of say 10 days (or a month in severe cases) and then repeated after a while. 6. Teeth. Take care of your teeth. Brush them at least twice a day. Black toothpowder is very good, or Close-up toothpaste (the green variety is milder). Always use a soft brush, using a scooping movement. Rub gums with the finger. Fine Carebros salt mixed with olive oil should be rubbed in the gums. Very hard food is not good for the teeth. Do not allow anything to stick between the teeth. Always use dental floss. The eyes and ears should be looked after (there is a good homeopathic oil for the ears). 7. Mental Aspect. Avoid talking too much. Avoid arguing, as when you do this, you suck in the Booths of the other person.
